Resurrection

Happy Resurrection Day! Below is my favorite Easter hymn. It was written by a Baptist minister named Samuel Medley (1738-1799), who took his inspiration from Job 19:25. Bob Bennett did a great rendition of it on his First Things First CD (also on his Lord of the Past compilation). I like it because it reminds us of the present and future benefits of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever living Head.

He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with His eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.

He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears;
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, I’ll sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death:
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives, all glory to His Name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same.
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives,
I know that my Redeemer lives!

Mike Osborne has a blog?!? Are you for serious?!?

When I discovered the whole world of blog last month, I hesitated. Most everyone I had heard about who had a blog was getting fired from their job because of it. Plus there's the cool factor. Is blogging really cool?? Is it just a fad? But now that I know Mike Osborne has a blog that puts blogging in a classy light.

Thank you Mike. This has truely made my day!

P.S. If you lose your job because of your blog, I'm pretty sure I can find you a new one. Whoops. Is that going to make you lose your job?? Sorry.

P.P.S. Does everyone in Orlando have a blog? If Mark Bates has a blog I'm going to start looking for the second comming.
